Again, not the performance and finish I was hoping for but there might be a silver lining.
This past weekend I stayed on the water both Saturday and Sunday! I went fishing for fun… and I loved it!
I lost a giant this past Sunday on the Tar River. Afterwards, I tried to figure out why. I walked around the front deck of the boat trying to figure out what I did wrong and how I could keep that from happening next time. Sometimes they just come off.
I went fishing this past Saturday on the Chowan River. It was raining, overcast and a pretty bad day for anyone not fishing. But for a guy like me who just needed to get back in touch with himself it was an amazing day. Saturday was my best fishing day
I quit fishing for a while there. I finally went again this past weekend and it was like meeting an ex-girlfriend that I fell in love with all over again.
I love fishing… I love family… so finding balance is incredibly important.

I had such high expectations for myself on Falls Lake. However, I couldn’t prevail in the tough summer heat.
I love Falls Lake and I’m totally pumped for the next FLW BFL there on July 8.
